Born in 1981, Zuhal H. Erbaş developed an early interest in photography and began exploring the medium during her youth as an amateur photographer. What first started as a fascination with travel photography gradually evolved into a deeper engagement with more conceptual and theoretical practices. Driven by a desire to cultivate a more sophisticated understanding of photography from both technical and aesthetic perspectives, she enrolled at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2003 to study photography.

Following her graduation, Zuhal chose not to pursue photography as a commercial profession, instead continuing her practice through experimental and personal work. She built her professional career within the field of graphic design, holding positions across a number of advertising agencies as both Art Director and, subsequently, Creative Director.

Since 2017, she has led the advertising agency she founded, where she continues to serve as Creative Director. Alongside her photographic practice, she also works in illustration.
